During winter break, people around campus are doing lots of activities, whether it be with their family, friends or significant other. However, some students are lost on where to find places that align with the holiday theme to go during the winter break. Here are some places recommended by students and teachers.
Disneyland, located in Anaheim, hosts Holidays at the Disneyland Resort from Nov. 14 – Jan. 7. This event includes the park being decorated in holiday decors, characters dressed up in a holiday theme and other events
“Even though it’s expensive, Disneyland is a really good option. There’s cute aesthetics for photos with the park being decorated, there’s also fun and nostalgic rides. It’s a good place to go with friends or family to create memories,” Velazquez said.

While Disneyland is located about 31.1 miles from the school, there are more local areas filled with holiday attractions that this city holds.
Architectural design teacher Justin Potts recommended a house in Vine and Valinda that is fully decorated that allows for family fun, photos, and overall enjoyment.
Another house located on S Susanna Ave. stood out with their holiday decorations, but even with lots of decorations it lacked attention that it deserved. Due to the street being located in a residential neighborhood that was far from where traffic comes through.
Senior Katherine Barbosa recommended Enchant Maze located at Santa Anita Park, a maze decorated with festive decor. “Enchant is a place that has a bunch of lights around with an ice skating rink located in the middle of the place,” Barbosa said
Enchant is temporarily open from Nov. 21 – Dec. 28. It is highlighted for being the world’s largest Christmas maze with festive food, ice skating trails and so many other festive activities.
Another place that Barbosa recommended is located in The Grove in Los Angeles. It includes snowfall at night and a Santa’s Workshop that is open to take pictures, a Christmas tree and other holiday-themed events.
“Every hour after 6, fake snow comes down, and when your next to the Christmas tree it looks very cute… Currently right now they have a jelly cat pop-up,” Barbosa said.
All these places are decorated with lights that are student recommended making them great options for anyone to enjoy during the winter break.
