Submit a Letter to the Editor
Insight encourages a diversity of voices and views. This section provides readers with an opportunity to share their opinions, respond to published articles or bring attention to issues that matter to the school community. Letters should be respectful, concise, and based on factual information.
All submissions are subject to editing for clarity, length, and adherence to journalistic standards. The opinions expressed in letters are those of the writers and do not necessarily reflect the views of the publication or its staff.
Submission Requirements
To be considered for publication, letters should:
- Preferably be 150 to 200 words.
- Generally refer to an article that has appeared within the past seven days.
- Not contain attachments.
Sample Template
To the Editor:
Opening (1–2 sentences)
State why you’re writing. Reference the article or event that prompted your response.
Body (1–2 short paragraphs)
Clearly express your opinion or perspective. Use facts, examples, or personal experiences to support your argument. Keep your tone respectful and concise.
Conclusion (1–2 sentences)
Sum up your point and, if relevant, offer a call to action or suggestion.
