Four months after the release of “REST IN BASS” (RIB), on Dec. 25 2025, artist Che released his deluxe version, “REST IN BASS: ENCORE” releasing 14 new songs as a Christmas surprise. Despite releasing more than a dozen songs, only one artist was featured, OsamaSon. Though the album was only teased three days before, its release did well with more than 400,000 streams for each song.
The Christmas surprise was unexpected to underground music listeners due to the anticipated release of a deluxe version from Playboi Carti on his album “MUSIC.”
However, with Che being considered a part of the “underground” scene, a sub-genre of rap music with experimental production, the release of RIB, along with the deluxe version, pushed Che to the top of the underground scene, pushing him towards becoming a mainstream artist.

Both RIB and the deluxe were experimental and different to anything Che has released in the past. It has a mix of heavy distortion, rage and tread.
Che begins the album with his song “KING OF ROCK” produced by CXO, an American record producer and engineer who is most known for his work with Che, OsamaSon, Nettspend and untiljapan. The song is 2 minutes and 1 second long. With no emotional meaning or unique attributes, the song can be easily forgotten, but it manages to make a mark with its catchy chorus.
Following “KING OF ROCK”, “MAKE OUT WITH MY CHOPPA” is the next song but arguably the worst. Produced by Che himself, the beat becomes too chaotic and isn’t able to mesh together with no catchy chorus to rebuttal the outcome of the beat.
The next song “HOLY MOLY”, the first song on the album produced by DJ Rennessy, a DJ from New Jersey, is good enough to be added to a personal playlist but not enough to be a favorite song. The repeated “This sh*t a rockstar lifestyle” adlib becomes memorable on its own.
With the second best song on the album following after, “DIE HARD” produced by Legion, a Canadian record producer known for his work with Ken Carson, OsamaSon and fakemink. The song is 4 minutes and 35 seconds long, with a unique transition making it feel like two different songs at the 2:43 mark. Despite it feeling like different songs, both parts have a catchy chorus and great production.
Throughout the album, he follows a theme of rebellion, making the album loud and reckless. “MONSTER,” one of the most chaotic songs on the deluxe and begins with the lyrics “It’s never enough, More Bass” reflecting the theme throughout the album. Overall, songs like these are different from songs released in the past from Che, as he followed a different theme of calm “Video Game” beats before.
Similar to “MONSTER,” “DIRTY SPRITE” has a similar feel, with Che making his voice deeper with autotune and distinct from his actual voice.
“WHIPPIN”, produced by Gyro, an Irish record producer based in London known for working with OsamaSon, Lil Uzi Vert and nettspend, is one of the best songs on the album and also the only song with a feature. With amazing production and no chorus, the song leaves a mark on the listener.
However, the next song, “WHATS LOVE” is the best song on the album. Produced by Azure, a Canadian producer known for working with Bktherula, and producing Smokingskul’s most recent album. Sounding like previous leaks before RIB, the song has a similar theme as previous albums from Che, making it unique to the current theme of the album.
Ending the album with a good song, “IM SORRY” produced by Gyro and Rok, a Canadian record producer known for working with Bladee, Lil Keed, Future and Izaya Tiji. The chorus is catchy and meaningful, which challenges the recklessness of the album.
With the album being completely different from any albums in the past, Che released an amazing experimental album that pushed him to higher exposure.
