Summerfield Tea Bar is a new emerging boba shop that gained popularity in 2022. The nearest location is in Rowland Heights on Colima Road. The popular drink spot serves as a great way to study or hang out with friends. 

Summerfield serves as a cozy spot for simple friend hangouts or for a detailed studying session. There are a variety of seating arrangements with cushioned bases and backrests to guarantee maximum comfort to anyone who finds it stiff and uncomfortable to be seated for long periods of time. 

Alongside the comfortable seating arrangements, Summerfield offers a variety of drinks, from Uji matcha to refreshing strawberry slushies; there are exactly 24 drink options available to order. While the selection isn’t exactly extravagant, with only six different types of drinks to order, there are enough options to relaxingly choose what to drink without being overwhelmed by the options. 

Summerfield offers combo deals – one with popcorn chicken and a choice of milk tea or tofu with milk tea. A popular drink is the Rainbow Snow slushie that consists of a “creamy strawberry, peach, mango slush with rainbow jelly,” where the flavors are refreshingly coordinated and complementary.

Their popcorn chicken was fried in oil and tasted fresh, as opposed to some other boba shops, where the flavor tastes stale and misses the satisfying crunch. Summerfield’s popcorn chicken was not too crunchy and yet had a nice chew to the chicken. 

While my taste buds were satisfied, so was I when I sat down into their wooden benches with cushioned backrests. The atmosphere of the lobby was comforting with the dim, moody lighting hanging from the ceiling and had plants next to their windows. It gave the room an aroma of rich cedarwood and added a pop of color to the tan color scheme. 

Summerfield not only had amazing taste in decor with greenery and scenic lighting, but the staff playlist included all artists such as Sade, TV Girl and Brent Faiyaz, adding an extra dimension of relaxation to my overall experience at Summerfield.

From drinks to ambiance, Summerfield provided a comforting location to simply hang out or enjoy a refreshing beverage as you study for upcoming tests. Summerfield is open from 9:30 a.m to 1 a.m. which offers a wide range of availability for students who want a tasty treat after school.
