Students gathered to dance, socialize, play games, and eat on Apr. 5 at the Green Castle in Pasadena from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Upperclassmen and their guests attended, creating significant and everlasting moments.
Senior couple Ashley Flores and Matthew Sanchez, who’ve been in a two-year relationship, shared their last prom night with each other.

” to me, it means everything, knowing that no matter what happens, I could look back and know that I was really happy with the person that I really love,” senior Matthew Sanchez said.
Seniors Lelan Pinon and Zalia Moran also went as a couple and expressed that they especially enjoyed coordinating their outfits, finding that it brought a sense of deeper connection and creativity within the relationship.

“ was really cool because we’re in our outfits and matching and everything; we’re all dressed up,” Moran said.

“ making fun of each other and joking around,” Melendez said.
Junior Megan Carmouche decided to use prom as an opportunity to spend time with some of her senior friends, soaking in some of the last moments with them.

“I’ll never forget all the memories I’m going to make with a lot of my senior friends, and just kind of getting my final moments with them,” Carmouche said.

At 8 p.m., seniors Grace Lorenger and Matthew Galvez were announced as the 2025 Prom Queen and King. Lorenger and Galvez shared their reactions following the coronation.

“It’s so relieving and exciting, because I really did want this… I did not believe it, I kind of just stood there for a second… thank you guys so so so much, I like genuinely appreciate it from the bottom of my heart,” Lorenger said.

“It feels good…it’s definitely a big blessing… not much at first I got off stage and then everyone around me was cheering and looking at me, absolutely surreal.. I honestly feel really proud at the fact that I’m representing my classmates,” Galvez said.
The night ended around 10 p.m. The venue, environment, chaperones, and students made the night no longer just “A Dream of New Orleans” but a core memory.
