Many students are probably baffled as to where they should buy their Homecoming dresses or suits. There are many important factors to consider when buying your Homecoming attire: price, style, that never-ending fear of “Will I end up wearing the same thing as someone else?”, and so much more. This article should help cover the basic complications when looking for your Homecoming attire.

Los Angeles
The hour commute and annoying scarcity of parking is well worth it, as it is most likely that nobody will sport the same dress as you. You could either go on Melrose and find a never-ending amount of dress/suit shops or hit the fashion district. The prices are fairly decent with average costs of roughly $40-70.
Mall/ Outlet Mall
Going to your local mall is as simple as it sounds, but the chances are high for you to twin at Homecoming. Inside our local West Covina Westfield Mall, there are numerous dress shops- Windsor, Macy’s, H&M, Charlotte Russe, and Nordstrom Rack are some examples. Unfortunately, there are not as many places in the mall for the guys- the few being Macy’s, Burlington, Nordstrom Rack and Men’s Warehouse.

Online
Shopping online can always pose a major risk, but the positive outweighs the negative. There are hundreds of thousands of online shops throughout the web that sell dresses/suits. The two golden rules you should always keep in mind when buying online is to check the size and material. For women, a few trendy websites include dollskill.com, fashionnova.com, asos.com, and nastygal.com. For men, a few websites include thetiebar.com, ties.com, and nordstrom.com.
Thrift Stores
Thrift stores always appear to get looked over when it comes to buying special apparel, but they carry the best varieties of Homecoming get up. Thrift store prices are always cheap, so there are no regrets when choosing your dress/suit. The only downside is having to find the right size, but this can be avoided by going to your local tailor. Chances are, one of your older family members knows how to hem clothing.
