Eight years ago juniors, Clarissa Romero and Regan Tate grew to be a superstars in volleyball. Their passion for the sport has become bigger as they continue to play.
Both of the girls’ older sisters also played volleyball so it was only a matter of time before they did the same thing.
Romero along with Tate have been playing on the varsity volleyball team since freshman year. Romero does not play outside of school, but she is involved in girls water polo and swim. Tate, however plays outside of school on a club team.
“Most of the team has know each other since freshman year, so we’re close and that really helps. I think that we could go far this year,” said Tate.
Romero and Tate are both beyond excited for this season. They plan to not let anything distract and affect them, staying focused and most importantly working together as a team. The girls believe that Los Altos is one of the biggest competitors this season.
“I want to see how far we as a team could take ourselves this year,” said Romero.
