My name is Giovanna Garcia. I am a senior at WCHS and president of the WCHS Insight Club. I  enjoy spending time with my best friend and family. I’m very excited to be part of journalism again this year and to work with others to make WCHS a better place.

Sophomore Divine Lane shares her thoughts on the pressures around drug use. Lane credits a part of her worries about drug use to the new and deadly drug, Fentanyl. Teenagers can risk their lives by not knowing if the substances they use are laced. “You now have to be a lot more careful about using drugs because everything is laced and that can always become a big thing. I personally don’t want to encounter that and risk my life for doing it, so I just think it's important to just be careful,” said Lane.

El estudiante de ultimo año Jacob Nguyen ha sido jugador de béisbol en el equipo universitario desde su primer año. A lo largo de los numerosos juegos, prácticas y recuerdos que ha creado como miembro del equipo de béisbol, también ha aprendido mucho sobre responsabilidad que ha ayudado en su vida como estudiante. "Así que honestamente me ha enseñado a mantenerme al tanto de mi educación, mis deportes y a mantener un equilibrio entre las cosas", dijo Nguyen.

Jin Zhou enjoys her last months of teaching after spending 23 years teaching science. Throughout her time as a teacher, her main goal was to prepare students for college and future successes. “It brings me great satisfaction to have the opportunity to positively impact the future generations and hope with the consistency, diligence, and warmth, I can ultimately inspire students to reach their full potential,” said Zhou.
