Senior Miles Reid gets ready to leave after football practice in his 2009 Tacoma Toyota. Reid was given the car by his Father for getting his license in his junior year after passing his permit and license on his 3rd attempt. The car is special to him because it is his first car and he can modify it the way he wants it. “I really enjoy having a Tacoma as my first car because it is always very reliable and I won’t have to worry about having any issues,” said Reid.
California’s youngest age to receive a driver’s license is 16 and is one of the most exciting aspects of high school. Teenagers look forward to this and the sense of freedom that accompanies earning a license. Multiple students on campus including Miles Reid, Xavier Phillips, Daniel Carrillo, Isaac Infranca, and Daniel Zalaya have achieved this and offered Insight and an exclusive look into their experience.

Carrillo got his license his junior year after passing it on the first try. His favorite memories in the car are driving around with friends. Now he's able to drive to his football training, the gym, and out to eat. "I love being able to drive myself around in my own car," said Carrillo.
