Love must be fostered, whether it be platonic, familial or romantic. High school sweethearts are the epitome of love in the time of youth.

Sophomore couple Miles Reid and Isabella Romero are a perfect example of just that. They met at freshman orientation, when they were both in eighth grade. Reid went up to Romero and her friend, and from there their relationship blossomed.

“I thought she was sweet and very cute,” Reid said.

Romero’s first impression was that “he was genuine.”

Teenage years are often also the busiest. “Between athletics and academics, challenges we’ve faced are trying to balance school and sports with our relationship,” Romero said.

“We’ve grown by communicating more,” said Reid, and also as a result of the adversity they faced with each other.

Their relationship can only be described as strong.

“In the future, I would like her to be my wife,” Reid said.
