With spring right around the corner, softball is ready to start their season. As a team, they have set goals that they intend to reach by the end of their season.
This is Taylor’s Graciano’s fourth year on the team and she has had the opportunity to play a variety of positions.
“I play first, third and pitcher” Graciano said. This has helped to build skill in more than one aspect of playing which works as an advantage for the team as a whole.
Goals are set in place for Taylor individually and as a team. The softball team has been working toward said goals for some time now.
“This year I hope to make it to CIF, this is also a goal of mine individually. I have never been able to experience this, so I hope to be able to experience it this year with my teammates” Taylor said.
In order to achieve such goals, massive amounts of work has to be put into practices and the softball team is doing just that.
“To achieve these goals we are working hard at practice every single day. We dedicate specific days to certain things, so we can improve on what needs to be better” Taylor said. With their hard work, there is no stopping softball from reaching their goals to make it to CIF.
Many of these girls have worked toward bettering themselves at the sport most of their lives. Taylor would like to leave a few words of encouragement to her teammates.
“This is our year. We’ve been working very hard since first semester. Most of us had dedicated our whole lives to this sport. We have to keep working hard and finish off strong” Taylor said.
Best of luck to softball as they begin their journey toward a great season and more importantly CIF.
