With fall coming to an end and winter right around the corner, the boys basketball team has been practicing and training hard for this year’s season. This year, the boys basketball team hopes to do better this season than previous seasons with a lot of new talent, hard work, and determination.  

“I think as a team, we are finally understanding what real competition is and what we can achieve by working hard,” Coach Damien Tate said.

The basketball team has had to work extra hard to compete in the very difficult league. WCHS is at an advantage when it comes to quickness, going up and down the court, but just has to clean up their game so they can compete as a high rated team.

“I expect us to do better than the last 12 years and to put our school on the map and become well known.” Point Guard Nick Hart said.

This is the year that the WCHS basketball team is looking to step up their game and maybe even win a league championship. Make sure to cheer them on at their season opener on
