“Beast Games” is a reality competition show where contestants sign up to compete against other players in overnight games and challenges for a cash prize of 5 million dollars. The series was introduced this year and had multiple popular youtubers like Logan Paul and Kai Cenat featured in the videos. However, the series received backlash for the accusations headed by Youtube baker Rosanna Pansino regarding her own experience and that of other players who claim that the playing conditions were unfair and were denied basic commodities and care. According to the University of San Diego (UCSD), the average high school student receives about 6.8 hours of homework every week, about an hour of homework every day depending on the class and teacher. As junior students enroll in more AP courses than ever, they are expected to familiarize themselves with, complete and engage in college level rigor.

The bell schedule currently in effect imposed for all the high schools in the West Covina Unified school district. It has been the schedule used for the last at least 20 years and has not been altered since until the change to the starting time for classes before the 2022-2023 school year. Following the passing of Senate Bill 328 in 2022, high schools in California were required to have a starting time no earlier than 8:30 a.m.
