Sparkly bows, glitter eye shadow, and maroon and gold outfits were what West Covina High School JV and Varsity girls wore on Saturday, November 3rd, while hosting the cheer showcase. The event welcomed parents and families to the show, with vendors selling cheer apparel outside.
The show opened up with the “TINYZ” who performed for the first time on Bulldog County. Those who performed were generally from studios around the area, from ages three to nineteen. Lots of proud parents in the audience cheered for their daughters as they tumbled across the mat with smiles on their faces. Junior Michelle Gonzales had a favorite moment in the showcase. She said, “ definitely the adrenaline rush right before stepping on stage.” West Covina performed 3 times with JV and Varsity, and the girls excelled in competition. “There were so many stunts and lifts. I loved it,” an enthusiastic family member said.
The team is filled with excitement for the upcoming year.
