The Boiling Crab is a quirky fun decorated Cajun food spot in Rowland Heights with a specialty in seafood. Upon entering, you are greeted with great music, smiling faces, a wood and net pirate-like decor, and not to mention the mouth watering smell of the food. The menu is simple, yet diverse with items for the entire family, from king crab legs to Cajun chicken strips. My party ordered fried catfish, shrimp, and chicken strips. All around the table, we were more than satisfied. The only complaint from any of us was the fact that the shrimp is served unpeeled, leaving you to do the unappealing task yourself. Putting aside the complaint, everyone was in love with the bold flavors and comfort food style.
The big distinguishing aspects to Boiling Crab are the atmosphere, price, and taste. Customers can bring Sharpies with them and write all over the wooden walls, giving it a more home like and relaxed atmosphere that allows you to leave a little piece of yourself. This compounded with the feel good music made sure everyone was having a good time. You can have a good meal with a drink or dessert plus leftovers for a midnight snack for under $15. For quality seafood, that’s hard to beat. On top of all this, the food is stellar. The taste of the food is unmatched. No matter what you get, make sure you get the Cajun fries. These fries are hot, crisp, and sure to leave you craving for more. Boiling Crab is open Monday through Friday from 3pm – 10pm and weekends 12pm – 10pm.
Be aware, it can get really crowded. The wait time can be very long and parties are not seated until every member of the party is there. However long the wait is, the food will not disappoint. You are sure to leave smiling and three pounds heavier.

I placed an order with tenders and an other order of fries. I received my order but when I got to the car I noticed my order was not complete. I walked back and spoke to the manager Cindy who was really rude refusing to give me my complete order because it was noted on the cameras grabbing fries from the order with the tenders. I continued to explain I received the order with the fries and tenders but did not receive my separate order of fries. Manager refused to give me my fries that were already paid for and was externally rude to not even offer a refund. I was really unsatisfied with the service that was provided because I was unable to get the fries that were already paid for. Also the wings that were given were cold and the fries with the order were also snobby so my experience overall if I could rate would be a 1/5
