The glistening view of West Covina sunsets is outlined by the palm trees on Lark Ellen through Okura Field and Thyberg Field.
Imagine you’re an athlete on Thyberg Field during practice, your coach calls for a water break and as you take a sip, you look up and you’re met with the most beautiful sunset of pinks and oranges behind a row of towering palm trees. It’s a breathtaking skyline anyone at Bulldog Country can see.
Especially during winter the sky across West Covina starts turning into a mixture of vibrant colors at an earlier hour and the school’s layout makes the aesthetic view even better. It’s no question that the sky makes for some amazing photos and backdrops, but also greatly boosts campus morale.
“After practice I love seeing through the window the beautiful sunset,” said junior Melissa Acosta.
These sights aren’t just for athletes as they are visible throughout the whole school, although the time the sunset is visible varies throughout the day and the weather. Most of the time these sights are able to be seen after school hours. This sunset serves as a core memory of the school for many former and current students.
