Burks specified that although he likes crop tops and long jorts, personality and kindness are more important qualities in potential partners than style. “As long as they have a good heart and are funny that’s all you really need,” said Burks.
Many students participated in this year’s Homecoming Greek mythology-themed spirit week. Each day featured different themes such as Olympian Day, Greek life, Zero to Hero, and Celebration Day that encouraged students to express themselves. Other than each day’s outfits, spirit week furthers a supportive and spirited atmosphere for both students and staff. It creates bonds and shows the school’s pride across campus. Freshman Vivian Gonzalez wears her class color to represent the freshmen class on “Celebration Day.” Today was Class of 2028's first Homecoming Rally and Gonzalez thought it met her expectations. “It was fun, exciting, and overall a good experience,” said Gonzalez. Her favorite part of the rally was Dub. C because of the song choices. With tomorrow’s Homecoming Dance, Gonzales shared that she is excited to dance with her friends and attend her first homecoming.
