Asking someone to prom can seem intimidating to do. Although it’s scary by doing so, the trending “Promposals” allow for people to have the opportunity to make it special and create beautiful memories. Over the past few years, promposals have been a common trend amongst teenagers in America. Some different creative ways that people prompose are by making posters, buying flowers or gifts as a way to show their affection towards the person they are asking.
Senior Sophia Lam was asked to prom by one of her best friends Katie Lai on Monday. Since they both didn't have dates they decided to ask each other to prom for their senior year. The poster theme is of Lam’s favorite idol Ricky from the K-Pop group ZB1. Lai kept everything on theme with Lam’s favorite colors pink and blue. Lam’s favorite part was that Lai made everything by hand and spent her time making it personalized. From the little details of getting Lam’s favorite snacks from Trader Joe’s to hand picking the flowers in the bouquet of flowers.
