Amoeba Music is a two story record shop located on Hollywood Blvd. that sells vinyls, CD’s, figurines, and movies. Entry is free and every so often the store has free live shows of a wide variety of music genres ranging from pop, rock, indie music, and underground hip-hop. A fun fact about Amoeba Music is that it’s the world’s largest independent record store in the world.
The Last Bookstore
The Last Bookstore, located in Downtown Los Angeles, is a two story art gallery bookstore with over half a million books to discover and is the largest bookstore in L.A. In the store, you can find a small vinyl and CD selection, movies, manga and comic books. The library is a labyrinth that creates visual merchandising with book tunnels and creative book sculptures throughout. If you discover a book you are interested in, there are many areas to relax and enjoy reading. At this large and creative bookstore, you’ll be sure to find what you’re looking for. Universal Studios Hollywood CityWalk
Universal CityWalk is a tourist attraction located in Hollywood, right at the entrance of Universal Studios. The attraction is a three block promenade with more than 30 shops and 30 restaurants, including the famous Hard Rock Cafe. In the many shops to visit, you can also find collectibles and figurines from your favorite Universal Picture movies.
The Grand Central Market
If you’re looking for a variety of food vendors to visit, then stop by the Grand Central Market on Broadway Street, a food court with free admission and many different types of food, such as oyster cuisines, Mexican restaurants, burritos, pupusas, sushi and much more. Not only are there places to eat at, but also small jewelry shops and photo booths to enjoy by yourself or with family and friends.
Smorgasburg L.A.
Smorgasburg is a large free entry food market showcased throughout L.A., Jersey City, New York that is in operation from April through October each year. The food market is made up of nearly 100 small businesses with all types of food you can imagine. Not only are there food vendors, but also clothing, plants, jewelry, and much more.
