Shrimp Alfredo Pasta

Dominic Sanchez, Staff Writer

Cooking is a basic life skill that everyone should learn. I was home alone one day and craving chicken alfredo so I looked in the kitchen for something to eat. Instead, I found the ingredients listed below and jumped in head first to see what would happen. Turns out, I actually love cooking and this recipe takes around 45 minutes to make.

Shrimp or Chicken Alfredo

Ingredients:

  • 1 ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 2 tsp. of butter
  • Garlic powder salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 lbs. cubed chicken breast or 2 lbs. shrimp
  • Primo Taglio Shredder parmesan cheese to taste
  • Fettuccine pasta noodle
  • Medium size saucepan

Steps:

  1. Boil water and add a pinch of salt to water
  2. Cook chicken or shrimp to completion
  3. After water boils put the noodles in the water and cook until al dente (not fully cooked)
  4. Drain water and save ¼ cup of the water to add back into the sauce
  5. Add the heavy whipping cream into the pan on medium high heat. Make sure to use the same pan you made the chicken in
  6. Add cheese and add the water you saved. Put the noodles the sauce and stir until you think necessary
  7. On a plate make a bed of the sauced noodles. Place chicken on top of the noodles

This recipe and serving size is great for a family dinner.

Breakfast Scramble

The breakfast scramble is recommended for large groups.. This dish I made fed 18 people using 64 sausage links and 32 eggs. This is a quick and easy meal to make last minute before a family gathering or school/workplace potluck.

NO MEASUREMENTS (6 eggs and 8 sausage links feeds 4)

Ingredients:

  • Eggs
  • Sausage
  • ½  cup of milk
