The city of Covina held their 67th annual Christmas Parade on Dec 2. There were floats from all sorts of organizations throughout the San Gabriel Valley. Just a few of the organizations included: Boy Scouts, Ballet Folklorico, a pet adoption group, classic cars, and many more.
High schools and even middle schools participated in the parade this year as well. Every school marched down the streets of Covina with their band, dance, cheer, or colorguard team. Each school played a Christmas song to embellish the holiday spirit.
West Covina High School’s very own robotics team was also a part of this years parade. They rallied down the streets with their inventive robots built from scratch wooing the crowd.
The Pony League of Covina represented and celebrated their World Series championship trophy in their very own float. The team defeated South Korea in the World Series in Pennsylvania in mid-July this year.
Overall, this year’s Christmas Parade was full of holiday cheer and the family element was present throughout the streets of Covina. There was true representation of the unity of surrounding cities when people saw their distant friends and family.
