A new toy has erupted recently with popularity across the United States. The new toys are called “fidget toys”, and they are the latest craze in all schools as well. Fidget toys are little objects that help keep people busy and focused while they are doing work or trying to listen to something. These toys help kids that get anxious and bored in class focused by allowing them to fidget and move if they feel tireless.
There are actually a wide variety of these toys that are produced. Some examples are cubes that have small switches, chains that have many rings on them, and the popular spinners that you can spin while doing anything. These are all simple and easy-to-use objects that can make a positive impact on the learning experience.
These fidget toys are actually very beneficial towards people that struggle to stay calm and focused in class, but there are some people that believe that these fidget toys are a distraction to the person and the people in their surroundings. They see these fidgeting objects as an excuse to play with something during class time. Although some students may take advantage of these and not use them the way they are supposed to be used, they can really benefit students that use them the right way in order to stay concentrated. Some believe that there is no point to these toys and that they have a purely negative impact in the classroom, but that is not the case.
I not only see these “fidget toys” as an asset for a student to use, but it also doesn’t interrupt people nearby at all. These objects are very small and don’t require a lot of movement from the user, therefore it’s very hard to get distracted by this. These fidget toys really benefit the students in the classroom.
Overall, I believe these fidget toys benefit students and do not take away any opportunity to focus and learn. Fidget toys should be looked at in a positive light because of all the good these objects do to help keep students that have trouble staying focused in the classroom succeed.
