The most recent addition to West Covina High School that many students, if not every student should know of is the barbeque line. Although no steaks or baby back ribs are served in the new lunch line there is still the selection of two food options, the hot dogs and the cheeseburgers.
If you are a student who has attended this school for more than one year, you should know that the burger related lunch options were reheated or poorly cooked, resulting in a distasteful lunch without any condiments. With the new lunch, however, students can see the lunch staff cooking and preparing the cheeseburgers and hot dogs before lunch every day as they head towards their classes. The hot dogs can be seen grilled outside near the east end of the cafeteria, which had been previously known as the pizza lines, with the cheeseburgers being prepared as well nearby wrapped in paper foil to preserve the heat and warmth these foods now contain.
The burgers and hot dogs are kept in a long container with fruit, vegetables, milk, and juice, giving students free range on what they would choose to eat. There is also a salad bar always nearby for students to add upon their food with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and relish with ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise.
If you would like to have a taste test and see if these hot dogs and cheeseburgers are actually really good, or if you would just like to eat a burger or dog, just simply head to the cafeteria and follow the line that forms every day at lunch outside just outside of the choir room.
