Marvel’s new movie “Doctor Strange” has recaptured my attention with their classic comical relief and epic action, with a wonderful character build up that keeps on making you love “Doctor Strange” more and more.

In the film, the key stars are Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange, Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One, Mads Mikkelsen as Kaecilius, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Mordo, and Benedict Wong as Wong. The story is based on Marvel’s Comic series of the character Doctor Strange; first appearing in Strange Tales issue #110.
The movie opens up with Doctor Strange performing brain surgery on a patient. In this Marvel’s classic use of throwback music is perfectly used, as he is performing critical surgery while he is listening and in tune with the music. Right from the beginning Doctor Strange is immediately shown as a very ignorant and prideful neurosurgeon, that only seeks fame and glory. In his defense he is a very intelligent and well respected, but in the end he is rude to anyone who does not allow him to do what he wants. Throughout the movie we see his character change dramatically from arrogant and full of pride to understanding his true meaning in life.
The style of this movie is very fast paced, where sometimes the viewer might get lost. However, this fast pace is often slowed down to recap events and explain certain actions of the characters. This style is very typical in action thrillers which are filled with a lot of movement and environmental stimulation.
All in all this movie was very full of energy and emotion that forms a well illustrated picture of what “Doctor Strange” really would act and feel like in real life.
