This past month has been quite eventful for Justin Bieber and his Beliebers. After a couple of years of not putting any music out to the public and trying to reinvent himself, on Nov. 13, 2015, Bieber finally released his highly anticipated album, “Purpose.”
Prior to the release of his album, Justin Bieber released singles such as “What Do You Mean” along with a music video, and “Sorry”, with a dance video to accompany it. Both singles were an instant hit among his fans but they were not the only ones giving his music appraisal. Others who were not previously big fans of Bieber were also captivated by his new beats.
“I actually really like this album. He has a lot of catchy songs which makes me want to listen to them,” senior Adam Berni said.
Bieber also starred on “The Ellen Show” for a whole week, calling it the first ever Bieber week on Ellen. Not only did he make an appearance on her show, Bieber also had a mini concert performance on her show to celebrate the release of “Purpose.”
That is not the only event he had to celebrate the album. On Friday, Nov. 13, he had “An Evening with Justin Bieber,” which was a little show at the Staples Center. This special event was only meant to be one show; however, due of high demand, two more shows were created for the public to attend.

The evening included a short Q&A with Justin Bieber, him performing a couple of songs acoustically, and lastly, the release of “Purpose: The Movement,” which was a series of music videos with dancers from all around the world dancing to his new songs.
All in all, mostly everyone had a positive response towards the album and he is getting good recognition for his work.
The album was such a big success that it remained No. 1 on the iTunes charts for a long time and even made history when he broke the record for most simultaneous hot 100 hits previously held by the Beatles and Drake. Bieber had 17 songs on the hot 100, making it the most titles any artist has had in the charts in a single week.
