A Nightmare on Elm Street
This classic slasher movie is one of the best movies to watch this Halloween season, with mild scares and suspenseful music the goosebumps will surely come out. With remakes left and right, some things have been changed, but the original meaning of the plot has stayed the same. Haunting the dreams of several teenagers to claim revenge on his death, Freddy Kruger becomes the notorious slasher. Having a rating of 7.5 stars out of 10 with the original movie, and 5.2 stars out of 10 for the 2010 version, the original is the choice to watch, but if you are more familiar with recent actors and actresses, than the remake the choice for you.

Gremlins
This unique movie of green miniature creatures that terrorize a small town, will have you looking behind every corner. This classic humorous horror movie first made an appearance in 1984, along with a part two in 1990. The original first movie begins with a boy who breaks 3 important rules concerning his new pet and unleashes a horde of mischievous little monsters on a small town. With a rating of 7.2 stars out of 10 stars, this movie will have you laughing and watching your back at the same time.

Carrie, a classic Stephen King novel later made into a horror movie is a must watch this halloween season. Carrie is the type of movie that will have you rethinking about making that snarky remark at the shy innocent girl, because you may never know what supernatural power she might be hiding under all that innocence. With the original movie being from 1976, you may think that is too outdated for you, well do not fret, because there is a 2002 and 2013 remake. Carrie White is a shy, antisocial 17 year old who lives with her overly exaggerated, religious mother, but when pushed to the limits she unleashes her telekinetic powers after being humiliated at her senior prom. The ratings vary depending on the movies such as 7.4 stars out of ten on the original version, 5.5 stars out of ten on the 2002 remake, and six stars out of ten on the 2013 remake. You can choose to watch which ever, or why not all, them you can decide which one scares you more.
