As Halloween slowly approaches, one of the most common things to do during this time of year is to go to a theme park that features a Halloween themed event. A few popular theme parks are Knott’s Scary Farm, and Universal Horror Nnights, and the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride.
Knott’s Scary Farm located in Buena Park, California, offers different packages to please your frightful needs for this Halloween. These packages consist of the one night tickets that cost $40, the scary farm pass for $80, the admission & fright lane for $105, and lastly, the boo-fet + early entry for $27. The scary farm pass allows you to go through every night of scary farm, while boo-fet + early entry allows you to see the frightful creatures lurking in the dark before the park opens. There are also 12 elaborately themed mazes provided., Some that are included are Black Magic, Paranormal Inc., The Gunslinger’s Grave: A Blood Moon Rises, and My Bloody Clementine.

Universal Horror in Hollywood present six terrifying mazes along with its famous attraction the Terror Tram: Survive The Purge, along with its new show featuring the Jabbawockeez. Its six terrifying mazes consist of The Walking Dead: Wolves Not Far, Insidious: Return To The Further, Halloween: Michael Myers Comes Home, This Is The End 3D, Crimson Peak, and AVP: Alien Vs. Predator. Along with the mazes also comes with the scare zones, that consist of Exterminatorz, Dark Christmas, Corpz, and The Purge: Urban Nightmare. In order to enjoy all this frightful fun you must of course pay to get in. Universal Hollywood offers two different packages to accommodate you. The two packages offered are front of the line which allows you to cut to the front of the line one time at each maze, show, ride, and Terror Tram. The Haunted Hayride located in Crystal Spring Los Angeles, CA, is the new buzzing attraction that everyone is talking about. This ride showcases the fears and scares of all cultures , and how every culture has a Boogeyman. Even though this ride is made for you to have fun and get scared to death there are rules you must follow such as no alcohol and smoking. The Haunted Hayride Los Angeles offers ten different packages, some consist of the hayride only $30, general admission $43, vip admission $59, and super saver hayride only $25.
Theme parks such as these above may not be your thing, and that’s ok because there are many other things you can do such as going to pumpkin patches. Local pumpkin patches consist of the Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Festival where you can choose from thousands of pumpkins, and have fun with face painting, corn mazes, and the petting zoo. This event is held on Oct. 18&19.
