It is once again that spooktacular time at Disneyland otherwise known as Halloween season. The eye captivating decorations and all the time that goes into making this annual event even better each year is simply amazing.
You have your regular decorations such as the big Mickey Mouse pumpkin in the center of the park where all these amazing pictures are captured for lifelong memories and so much more. The park is all different shades of orange which really brings out the fall season and gets everyone excited for the end of the year.
The Haunted Mansion is personally my all time favorite especially during this time. It is not only Halloween theme but Christmas decorations are also incorporated into the mix in tribute to Tim burton’s, “A Nightmare Before Christmas.” This is great because even though it is Halloween time, it reminds me and everyone else that Christmas is just around the corner. As you make your way through the attraction, there are even times where your nose is filled with the pleasant smell of gingerbread and pumpkin spice, making the whole experience worthwhile.
Space Mountain is another attraction that is changed specially for this time. Usually while you are on the ride it is dark and all you can see are the stars giving it the whole space effect; however during Halloween there are ghosts that are constantly popping out at you which only makes the ride better.
The firework show at the end of the night is changed and pumpkins are projected onto the castle. The theme is changed to Disney villains and while they are talking, spooky music is being played in the background while fireworks are being released into the sky completing the whole night.
On select nights throughout the month, Disneyland is closed early so that those who purchased a ticket to Mickey’s Halloween Party can enter and enjoy a night filled with costumes, trick-or-treating and sharing the place with not only Mickey and his friends but also our favorite villains.
Disneyland is the perfect Halloween theme park to come visit if you are not up for the nightmares and scariness that comes along with the other theme parks during this holiday.
