Physical education teacher Mike Maggiore received the teacher of the year award for his department. Over the years, Maggiore has been teaching and coaching and has turned students into scholar athletes, such as Walter Thurmond, Super Bowl champion, and Sidney Jones, a division one freshman at the University of Washington.
With a total of 24 years teaching, Maggiore has always loved the spirit and pride of all the students–from sports games to rallies. He thinks that the staff here on campus is better than it has ever been.
Maggiore likes working here because it keeps him active. He enjoys watching the students grow into young men and women.
Some of Maggiore favorite hobbies are exercising, running, and playing basketball.
