The Choral Department is hosting their first “Coffee House” performance, a solo concert with a casual atmosphere. It will be held in the grassy area between the O Building and the Bulldog Cafe, refreshments will be served in the cafe. The coffee will be provided by Penn and Painter Coffee and the choral department is offering pastries between the price of $1 to $3.
Tyler Wigglesworth, Choir director, brought the idea to the department, hoping it would allow his students to learn and grow.
“It’s meant to be a time for our students to grow as soloists, and for the audience to enjoy a night of music,” said Wigglesworth.
The department held auditions on Feb. 12 with many students coming in during nutrition, lunch, and staying after school.
“I think it’ll go well. All the performers’ family and friends will go and it’ll be a calm night. I’m in choir and in chamber and I love to sing so hopefully it’ll go well,” said junior Angelica Flameno.
