With 5,644 subscribers and up to 14,057 views, Devon Rocha, known as MakeMehWonder by the YouTube world, is a junior here at West Covina High School and has been doing YouTube videos for the past six years. He got his inspiration for making videos by watching Comicfire7‘s YouTube channel.

Rocha started with his friend Brandon, but then began working on his own channel as MakeMehWonder.

Rocha has made lots of internet friends because of being a YouTuber and says that is what inspires him to make more videos.

“They don’t make sense,” Rocha said about his videos.

It’s true, but in a funny way. Rocha’s videos are filled with awkwardness and randomness. He doesn’t like to write out scripts for his videos, so when he films it’s all straight from the top of his head.

In his newest video “No Place Like Home” Rocha is standing in random parts of his house and screaming with a piano medley playing in the back ground. There’s no sense in it and that’s what makes it hilarious.

Rocha stopped doing videos for almost a year due to his computer breaking, but now he’s back at it, with three new videos. Being a YouTuber has given him the chance to meet lots of famous YouTubers, like Fred and Pewdiepie, the most subscribed YouTuber. He met these people at Vidcon, a place to be for a YouTuber.

“At Vidcon you meet everyone because everyone goes,” said Rocha.

Rocha has been attending since the second annual Vidcon in 2011 and has grown a passion for making these videos. He has come from using a flip camera to Canon T3i and Sony Vegas pro, a 200 dollar editing program. He does it for fun and because he loves doing it, no other reasons. When asked if he wanted to do this for a living in the future he replied, “Not really, I just want to do it for fun.
