A green patch of land called “The Gland,” sits inside massive walls that make up an insanely large maze. The one lingering question that passed through everyone’s minds, “Who put us here, and why?” Little did they know, the answer to that lies deep within of the maze.
Years passed, and life in the maze was slowly taking its toll on everyone’s mental state. Living happily, the peace that they created wouldn’t last much longer, as the last of their supplies had run out.
“The Maze Runner” is directed by Wes Ball with the help of Paramount Pictures. Actors Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Will Poulter, and many more have all played their important roles from saving everyone to turning against the crew.
The movie revolves around a large group of kids trying to survive. Things start to look bright for them, but that all changes when a boy named Thomas is sent to the gland.
A metal box would always rise up in the middle of The Gland every month containing one person and a set of tools. Each person that was brought up would have the same answer anytime when asked, they don’t remember anything.
The gland they had to live on was filled with grass plains, a lush forest, and different kinds of wild life, so survival and cooperation was a key role for everything. Four doors on each side of The Gland would open every morning, and the runners, the people who ran into the maze to find a way out, would go in.
While they’re scouting, a mistake could cost them their life. Once the sun begins to set, the doors close, and anyone still inside the maze are on their own.
Three years later, a boy named Thomas appears in the box, and things begin to change. Alby, the first person who entered The Gland, shows him around and can’t help but notice Thomas is curious unlike everyone else. The maze was built to test each individual’s skills, and how they would react in difficult decisions.
This shows exactly how life can be with different tests and people needing to use their skills. I would clench my seat most of the time while watching because of the suspense, and would lose my breath at the action. I highly recommend this movie for teens 13 and older.

This article was really good. I watched this movie before and it is very suspenseful. I agree when the article says this is how life when people use their skills. I believe if you put your mind to something then you will accomplish it just like this movie.
