El Amigo serves authentic Mexican food with flairs of homemade tradition that brings me back to my childhood. El Amigo gives you well portioned plates with great service and the waiters always have a smile. It is a small, cozy, hole in the wall setting with fresh ready to go, sit down, or takeout meals. The patio setting is small and intimate, perfect place for family time or an intimate date.
El Amigo’s signature taco plate can make your taste buds burst with temptations and creates a hovering smell of spices right under your nose. The well sized, crunchy taco shell could possibly be a key ingredient to the master piece but I think it is the perfectly shredded chicken, freshly diced red tomatoes and hand of cheddar cheese that marks the dish. Ordering the taco plate will change your mind about the next taco plate you decide to eat at. I somehow always compare other taco plates to El Amigo’s. it is not just the tacos that make the food extremely unique but along with it comes thick, creamy homemade pinto beans, lettuce, more diced tomatoes and sweet, tangy Mexican riced topped with more cheese. Other meals, such as the famous enchiladas, taquitos, or chile rellenos can also be ordered with the same satisfaction.
This place has become almost a tradition to our family now. At least once a month my family craves El Amigo’s authentic meals. I strongly encourage you to take a trip through the city of Glendora and let your taste buds indulge in something new.
