It’s that time of year, Halloween, where all the creepy, scary, and maybe even fun movies and shows, come back. On Disney Channel, every year during the month of October, all these old Disney original Halloween movies air. “Twitches” is a movie with a spine-tingling adventure about a pair of twin sisters separated at birth finding their way to each other without even knowing.
The old Disney original movie from 2005, “Twitches”, directed by Stuart Gillard takes us to a magical realm, where the twins, Artemis/Alex Fielding and Apolla/Camryn Barnes, are saved and taken to a different dimension by their protectors. Then soon the two were separated by being adopted by different families. Trying to bring the two together, their original protectors go through much to force for them to meet each other.
Their biological parents from the magical realm of Coventry force them to meet on their twenty-first birthday, even though the two don’t even know one another. Both the sisters have different home situations, Camryn Barnes life with her wealthy family while Alex is struggling to get by finding a job. On their twenty-first birthday they soon end up finding each other and realizing the magic they had together, and together they use their magical witchery powers to save their biological mother.
Alex and Camryn never knew each other, but when they finally do meet they have the difficulties of understanding each other. They didn’t know who their actual parents were and they don’t know much of how to control what they both possess. Alex and Camryn soon enough realize what they have to do to find their answers and along way the two go through many confusing problems, and discovering more about themselves and past.
Overall, “Twitches” is a very interesting movie and is by far one of my favorite Disney Halloween movies. Many would like it especially kids and teens who love Halloween movies with a twist. The movie within itself show that no matter how far apart you are from someone you can rekindle a relationship to something much bigger.
