Dance Drill had their first competition of the season on Saturday, Feb 9. Dance Drill competed in Small Military at the WCE Regionals hosted at Esperanza High School in Chino Hills. Starting off, Small Military dance teams were up first for performing. The team placed first for Small Military, scoring over 80 points. Small Dance Drill teams were next and got ready to take on the stage. For this part of the competition, Dance Drill placed second, also scoring over 80 points. Lastly, switching over to the last performance, the Small Pom Routine, our JV Large Pom placed first, dancing to “Tightrope” by Walk The Moon.

“I think we all did so good. It felt amazing to see everyone perform different routines. I think we had a pretty solid performance,” freshman Dance Drill performer Michelle Hu said.

In the end, hard work really paid off for Dance Drill and WCE Regionals was a great start to competition season. These accomplishments set a reminder that they will do amazing for Nationals, striving for more victories to come.
